Please attend King County meeting

Please attend this meeting to learn more about the proposed charter changes, and to thank the charter commission for their work.

At 6 p.m. this Monday, June 16, at the Federal Way Community Center, 876 S. 333rd St., the King County Council will be coming to Federal Way for a special Town Hall meeting on proposed amendments to the King County Charter.

Over the past two years, citizens from all around King County testified before the King County Charter Review Commission regarding various problems, including some in the King County Library System (KCLS). The commission is proposing 12 amendments to the King County Charter, and is also recommending that the King County Council, Executive and KCLS Board of Trustees take specific actions to improve the King County Library System’s management and operation.

The commission heard what the citizens said, and I applaud them.
