Pagliocco there for the photo op

It’s disheartening to see someone so big on rhetoric so lacking on engagement with real solutions.

I had to pause and re-wind the video of the recent candidate forum several times because I was shocked at what I had heard. Candidate Tony Pagliocco said that he hadn’t read the Violence Prevention Committee’s report and recommendations. This guy wants to be on the City Council and talks a lot about improving the safety of our city but couldn’t be bothered to read over the thoughtful recommendations our community put together to reduce violence and crime! It’s disheartening to see someone so big on rhetoric so lacking on engagement with real solutions.

Tony is also completely disengaged from the Human Services Committee where he brags about being a member. He has been absent more than half of the time since he was appointed. That’s much more than any other member and truly unacceptable for any position.

I want a leader that shows up — not just for a photo and a handshake but to do the work. I won’t be voting for Tony.
