No excuse for not voting

Don’t complain about the state of the city if you aren’t willing to put in even the minimal effort it takes to decide who to vote for.

Did you know? The primary election is right around the corner!

What do Belgium, Norway, Italy, Slovakia and Estonia all have in common? They all have a much higher voter turnout than the U.S. In my humble opinion — this is shameful. What is your excuse? We have mail-in ballots and now you don’t even need a stamp. Don’t know who to vote for? There are several forums and debates on the horizon, attend them. Talk to your friends. Figure out which of these people share your values, mind you, they may not share all of your values — but are they close? Go to the candidate’s website and/or Facebook page, ask them questions, most of them even have a phone number so you can call them up.

I’m not going to tell you who I think you should vote for but please — don’t complain about the state of the city if you aren’t willing to put in even the minimal effort it takes to decide who to vote for.
