Kochmar an effective, longtime leader | Letter

I am writing in support of our state Representative Linda Kochmar. Linda has been a leader in our community for many years. She first served this area as a community council member. Her efforts, along with others’, successfully incorporated the area of South King County known as Federal Way.

As an active member of our community, Linda has worked at our local food bank and has served meals to our less fortunate. With former Husky and Seahawk Michael Jackson, she has worked to keep homeless teens safe. Today she’s helping the children of Casey Kasem fight for family rights.

As a former Federal Way City Council member, Linda was instrumental in having the Federal Way Community Center built. She twice served as deputy mayor and was also elected as our mayor. She has supported the mesothelioma fundraiser, Miles For Meso Washington Memorial 5K Run/Walk, of which I am a member of the organizing committee.

Linda Kochmar continues to be an active member of the Federal Way community with the desire and energy to make Federal Way and the rest of the 30th Legislative District a better place to live. So I ask, “Why would you want to change?”

Please support Linda, as she has supported our communities for many years, by giving her your vote.

Arthur McIrvin, Federal Way
