Amateur Radio Tests Scheduled

At noon Saturday, Jan. 20th, the San Juan County Amateur Radio Society will be administering tests for Amateur Radio Licenses for all levels. "So it is time to follow through on that New Year's resolution and get that first ham license, or upgrade the license you already have." says Dave Vandaveer.

It is not necessary to pre-register. Just show up at the Friday Harbor Fire Station Apparatus Floor for the testing session. Applicants can start with the Technician's License, or go all the way to the top level Extra Class License. These tests are open to all and are administered by volunteers for the Federal Communications Commission.

If you have any questions, please call Dave Vandaveer at 378-8306. He can direct you to internet websites that provide practice exams. In accordance with the Federal Communications Commission procedures, these practice tests contain questions taken from the official pool off exam questions. Studying at these websites is excellent preparation for passing the test.
