Ninth Avenue School of Dance’s eighth annual production of “The Nutcracker” will make its debut this Friday.

The Federal Way-based dance company will perform the holiday tradition in four shows –– Friday at 7 p.m., Saturday at 2 and 7 p.m. and Sunday at 5 p.m. All will be at Knutzen Family Theatre, which is located at 3200 SW. Dash Point Road.

Prices for tickets range from $13 to $17 at the door. Additional information is available by calling the dance school at 924-0621.

Each year, rising young stars and seasoned dancers alike from the dance school take the stage to portray the story of one girl’s Christmas dream of dancing sugar plums, bears, soldiers and ferocious giant mice.

Generations of families share the stage together, making the production truly a family event, a Ninth Avenue spokesman said.
