Yalonda McKee of Tacoma won last Saturday’s Battle of the Idol musical talent competition, in which Autumn Sturzen of Federal Way was a contestant.

The competition, patterned after the popular “American Idol” television show, was staged at the Western Washington Fair in Puyallup.

Eleven contestants vied for the $1,000 prize that went to McKee. They reached the regional finals after winning “Idol” contests in their respective cities.

Jessica Oliver of North Bend was runnerup last Saturday.
