Artists are being sought for two city of Federal Way public art projects at the citys new community center.
The combined budget for the projects is more than $204,000.
One piece of artwork is planned for the community wing lobby and the other would be at the exterior entrance and include a water feature. A $90,000 budget for the lobby project and a $114,500 allocation for the exterior piece are for work and travel expenses of the artists, officials said.
Artists or artist teams will collaborate on concepts and designs with the centers design team, Architects Barker/Rinker/Seacat, and Arai Jackson Ellison Murakami and GreenPlay.
The deadline for applications is March 31.
