On May 30 and 31, the Pacific Ballroom Dance Team will showcase its winning Latin and standard performances along with many other performances at the Auburn Performing Arts Center, 915 Fourth St. NE, Auburn. The nationally recognized youth dance team promises to captivate the audience with rhythmic Latin numbers, energetic lindy hops, soft waltzes and romantic rumbas. Included in the numbers will be the routines the team performed when it placed third and fifth in the nation this spring at the U.S. Dance Sport Championships in Provo, Utah. Performances will be 7:30 p.m. May 30 and 31, with a Saturday matinee at 2:30 p.m. Tickets are $15 for the evening performances and $10 for the matinee. To learn more, visit www.pacificballroom.org. Members of Pacific Ballroom Dance comprise youth ages 10-19 who come from Federal Way, Auburn, Des Moines, Tacoma, Seattle, Kent, Puyallup and surrounding areas.
