New temporary (loaned) art displays were installed this week at the Federal Way Regional Library, 34200 1st Way S.

Joanne Shellan joins the list of celebrated artists chosen to represent the state of Washington with a new show at the Governor’s Mansion in Olympia. Her luminous landscapes and stunning body of work showcase her love for her native state. A preview can be seen at http://www.joanneshellan.com. Three oil paintings by Shellan are currently on display through February at the Federal Way Library.

Artist Charlene Collins Freeman has 14 photographic prints on canvas on display at the Federal Way Library through March 31. Her website is http://www.charlenecollinsfreeman.com. From there, click on Iron Horses to see the video and the full collection from which the photographs are drawn. The photographs were recently on display at the Union Station in Seattle.
