November entertainment includes Nat King Cole tribute, 'Samba to Soul'

• Nat King Cole tribute: Centerstage Theatre hosts a one-time only show, "The Unforgettable Nat King Cole." Come for a truly unforgettable evening as Sheldon Craig sings in David Duvall’s fabulous tribute concert to the suave and debonair Nat "King" Cole. Hear favorites from the treasury of hits that include "Mona Lisa," "Route 66," "Those Lazy, Hazy, Crazy Days of Summer," and, of course, "Unforgettable." Show starts at 8 p.m. Nov. 3 at Centerstage Theatre, 3200 SW Dash Point Road. Tickets are $19.50 for adults, $10 for those ages 25 and under. • Twelve Angry People: Decatur Theatre Company presents “Twelve Angry People” on Nov. 8, 9, 10, 15, 16 and 17 at the school, 2800 SW 320th St. Gripping drama about how society views crime and punishment. • Jazz LIVE at Marine View: Trumpeter and band leader Bobby Medina will present a night of “Samba to Soul” at 5 p.m. Nov. 11 at Marine View, 8469 Eastside Drive NE, Tacoma. Medina has been a featured instrumentalist with Ray Charles on many national and international tours as well as touring with recognizable names such as The Four Tops, Mel Torme, The Temptations, Bobby Vinton, The Coasters, Martha and the Vandellas and The Spinners. • Messiah: Federal Way Symphony Choral Society invites singers, church choirs, school choruses, and community choruses to sing Handel’s “Messiah” on stage with the society and the Federal Way Symphony. Rehearsals will be every Tuesday evening at 7 p.m. at Todd Beamer High School. Concert is Nov. 18 at St. Luke’s Church. Call (253) 344-1754.
