Get ready for a free summer play day in Federal Way. The annual Kids Day at Steel Lake Park runs 2 to 8 p.m. Aug. 1.

Admission is free. The event, for kids ages 2 to 12, features games, activities, arts, crafts and live music.

An inflatable slide and train ride are available, and a $3 wristband covers both rides. Concessions are also available for purchase.

Schedule:

• 2 p.m.: Federal Way Summer Craze Day Camp Performance

• 3 p.m.: Batch 5 (live music)

• 4 p.m.: Kids Music

• 5 p.m.: Kids Music

• 6 p.m.: Rick Anderson, magic show

• 7 p.m.: ShowBiz Kids (live music)

The event is sponsored by Federal Way Parks and Recreation. Steel Lake Park is located at 2410 S. 312th St., Federal Way.
