Hooked on Fishing: Steel Lake hosts annual event for kids

The 25th annual Hooked on Fishing derby will run 7 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. June 2 at Steel Lake Park in Federal Way.

Kids ages 2 to 12 are welcome to catch fish right off the dock at Steel Lake. Equipment is provided by the Save Our Fish chapter of Puget Sound Anglers. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Fifteen fishing sessions are available. There is only one time slot per child. Cost is $3.50 per child. Registration is required and space is limited.
