Free outdoor concerts at Steel Lake Park

July is national Parks and Recreation Month, and Federal Way is celebrating with the start of its summer concert series, Summer Sounds at the Beach.

Beginning July 20, Federal Way residents will have the opportunity to take in live music at Steel Lake Park, 2410 S. 312th St. The concerts will run from 7 to 8 p.m., and admission is free. The line up includes:

• July 13: Concert postponed to Aug. 24 due to weather

• July 20: Solbird (R&B Motown)

• July 27: Shotgun Aces (Country)

• Aug. 3: Showbiz Kids and Teen Idols (Youth Performance Group)

• Aug. 10: Little Big Man (Reggae)

• Aug. 17: Dana Osborn Band (Classic and Pop Rock)

• 85th Street Big Band (Swing and Big Band Hits)
