Slavic Day is July 9 in Federal Way

Slavic Day: The first Slavic Literature and Culture Day, a full day of entertainment, activities and food, will run 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. July 9 at Saghalie Middle School, 33914 19th S.W. There will be soccer, volleyball and table tennis competitions throughout the day, as well as a festival-style area beginning at noon. Guests can enjoy live traditional Slavic and contemporary music, a variety of stage performances, games for children of any age, contests and traditional food and  kiosks. Men's Breakfast: The Commons Mall is hosting the Men's Breakfast at 8 a.m. on Saturday, July 9. The special guest speaker is Federal Way Mayor Skip Preist, whose topic will be "Treat others the way you want to be treated," and Pastor Vasiliy Botsyan, whose topic will be "The thriving community."
