Edward Stewart, a longtime resident of the Five Mile Lake area and commissioner for the Lakehaven Utility District, died July 24 at age 86. A graveside service was slated for July 30 at Mountain View cemetery. Stewart was appointed to the Board in 1999 to fill the seat vacated upon Mark Miloscia’s election to the Washington state Legislature.

A column he wrote for the Lakehaven newsletter earlier this year is posted at www.lakehaven.org/newsletter.htm, which provides info on his family history in the area.
