Two of Federal Way High School's Air Force JROTC students were chosen to serve as delegates of the National Youth Leadership Forum Alumni Leadership Council.

Kyeshia Likely and Maria Gutierrez recently attended the National Youth Leadership Forum on Defense, Intelligence and Diplomacy. There, they participated in an exploration of the leadership field of government service. They also engaged in a national security simulation, in which they learned how senior U.S. government officials make national security policy. The students then applied these lessons to create and implement their own security strategies during a security threat simulation.

As delegates, the students will act as liaisons between their school, the forum and the community.
