On Feb. 16, Jerry Galland of unincorporated King County made his 200th donation to Puget Sound Blood Center in Federal Way.

This 25 gallon achievement is honored by the blood center with a 25 gallon pin and a marker on the Tree of Life.

"If you donate blood, you don't take any money out of your wallet," Galland said while donating platelets, as seen above. "It is the gift of time." Galland first started donating blood in 1973.

To schedule an appointment, call (800) 398-7888 or visit www.psbc.org. Puget Sound Blood Center is located at 1414 S. 324th St., Suite B101, Federal Way.
