The City of Federal Way staff held a chili cook-off and silent auction fundraising lunch Oct. 16 in support of Federal Way Human Services and United Way of King and of Pierce Counties.

Prizes included adventure trips, bottles of wine, a session with a professional make-up artist and the opportunity to have Chief of Police Brian Wilson style one's hair.

The city has partaken in the event since 1998, Officer Stacy Eckert said.
