Hundreds of participants biked, walked, scooted and strolled through Federal Way for the second annual Break the Chains of Human Trafficking 5k fundraiser on Saturday.

All proceeds from the event will benefit Federal Way Coalition Against Trafficking.

Mayor Jim Ferrell and Rep. Linda Kochmar kicked off the event with testimonials in support of the efforts. The crowd broke purple paper chains at the start of the 5k.
