The Greater Federal Way Kiwanis Club recently presented the club’s Everyday Hero awards to Lori Santamaria and Byron Hiller for their outstanding community service.

The Kiwanis Club has a tradition of giving an Everyday Hero award to individuals who stand

out in the community through their actions and activities. They give of themselves and share

their talents and time for good causes, especially causes related to helping children.

Santamaria and Hiller donated their time to the club’s Murder Mystery Dinner Show on Feb. 15. All proceeds from that fundraiser will benefit children in the Federal Way community.

Kiwanis is a global organization of volunteers dedicated to changing the world one child and one community at a time.
