Sejeong Kim, business manager of the yearbook at Todd Beamer High School, passes out yearbooks to students on Wednesday. The yearbook was entered in numerous national contests this year. If the past several yearbooks’ successes are any indicator, this year’s book will place well in the competitions, said yearbook advisor Stuart Prince. For the past four years, Todd Beamer’s yearbooks have placed in national competitions. Last year, the book took first place for best in show at a state Journalism in Education Association competition and seventh place in the same category at the national competition. “These kids are really amazing. The amount of work they put in is enormous,” Prince said. “They’re here on weekends, evenings and holidays.” Rebecca Lee, assistant editor in chief of this year’s book, said she was proud of Todd Beamer’s yearbook accomplishments. “It makes us better than all the other Federal Way books,” Lee said.
