Salmon Bake 2012 reels in cash for community causes

Federal Way Kiwanis Club held the 55th Annual Salmon Bake on July 27 at Steel Lake Park.

About 500 tickets were sold to the annual charity meal. More than $3,400 was also raised from raffle sales and a silent auction.  Some of the Kiwanis biggest contributions are to several college scholarships for Federal Way students. The club supports the Multi-Service Center, Federal Way Senior Center, FUSION, Caregiving Community Network Supper, PTSA Clothing Bank and more.

The club meets at noon Wednesdays (6 p.m. first Wed. of month) at Twin Lakes Golf and Country Club. Contact: richardhayek@aol.com.
