The annual Salmon Bake fundraiser, featuring live entertainment and great food, runs 4 to 8 p.m. July 27 at Steel Lake Park, 2410 S. 312th Street.

The event usually raises between $10,000 and $12,000 every year to benefit local charities and children. Some of the Kiwanis biggest contributions are to several college scholarships for Federal Way students. The club supports the Multi-Service Center, Federal Way Senior Center, FUSION, Caregiving Community Network Supper, PTSA Clothing Bank and more.

Tickets are $20 at the gate ($17 presale), and a kids hotdog meal is $5. All proceeds benefit the Federal Way Kiwanis Club’s local charities. The club meets at noon Wednesdays (6 p.m. first Wed. of month) at Twin Lakes Golf and Country Club. Contact: richardhayek@aol.com.
