From staff reports:

The Rotary Club of Federal Way announced that Cindy Ducich, a local active member of the Federal Way community, is this year’s recipient of the 2012 Service Above Self Award.

Ducich worked with the Federal Way Chamber of Commerce for over seven years as an ambassador. Ducich worked with the Federal Way School District, started and ran her own successful business, and now is an advertising sales consultant for the local newspaper, the Federal Way Mirror.

She is active in coordinating volunteers and promotion for major community events. Ducich was the Ambassador of the Year in 2010 and 2011, attending every Chamber event, regardless of whether it is first thing in the morning or late in the evening.

Ducich is also an alumni of Advancing Leadership Class of 2010. She is currently a mentor with Communities in Schools, volunteers with FUSION and the Multi-Service Center Crab Feed, and is on the board of directors for Centerstage Theatre.

She has demonstrated over the years a deep connection with the community. She supports and promotes many local events that enrich our community and citizens, according to the Rotary Club of Federal Way.
