Mirror staff reports:

On May 16 at their monthly luncheon meeting, The Women’s Club of Federal Way presented a check for $2,500 to FUSION.

Based in Federal Way, FUSION is a nonprofit all-volunteer organization with a mission to provide housing and support services to the homeless in our community as they work toward self-sufficiency. Over 80 percent of those helped by FUSION moved on to permanent and affordable housing.

FUSION (Friends United to Shelter the Indigent, Oppressed and Needy) has provided housing and counseling for homeless families since 1993. Struggling families selected through Catholic Community Services establish goals to reach self-sufficiency with regular assistance from a case manager.
