Federal Way Municipal Court Art Contest winners

The winners of the 2012 Federal Way Municipal Court Art Contest were announced during the Federal Way City Council’s regular meeting on May 15.

Students from all levels of Federal Way Public Schools were honored for their contributions, which will now hang in City Hall and the Municipal Court for the next year. The theme for this year’s contest was “Liberty and Justice For All.”

Elementary: First Place: Achalay Reyes, 2nd Grade, Mirror Lake. Title of Work: The Right to Speak. Second Place: Briana Martinez, 5th grade , Mirror Lake. Title of Work: Light Our Justice.

Middle School: First Place, Logan Jones, 6th grade, Totem Middle School. Title of Work: The Symbol of Freedom. Second Place: Matthew Arnold, 6th grade, Sacajawea Middle School. Title of Work: Lady Justice and Lady Liberty

High School: First place: Grace Kim, 11th grade, Thomas Jefferson High School. Title of Work: Diversity. Second place: Rachel Arnold, 9th grade, Federal Way High. Title of Work: Benjamin Franklin
