Water Festival participants are rotating through hands-on learning sessions at Green River Community College's campus. The event runs 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. March 27 and 28.
Students have the chance to pick bugs out of water tubs and test their health and the stream they come from. They will also get to build mini-watersheds, learn about recycling and watch a magician.
There will be ongoing presentations throughout the day, such as After You Flush, Pollution Soup, Water Olympics, Yuck Factor, Salmon Survivor, HydroCycle, and Water Mover. Presenters include staff from the Cities of Kent, Auburn, Federal Way and water and sewer providers Lakehaven Utility District and Soos Creek Water and Sewer.
For more information on the festival, call Gina Hungerford at (253) 856-5549.
