Decatur DECA held American Heart Association awareness week, Jan. 9-13. Students sold shirts at the Decatur High School boys basketball game vs. Lakes on Jan. 13 to benefit the association. Cost was $12 per shirt, and a benefit dance was held after the game.

The DECA team sponsored an informational week for the Decatur students about heart disease, partially inspired by teacher Krys Ellis, who recently underwent heart surgery. The stands at Decatur were filled with fans wearing red. To learn more, contact: (253) 945-5282.
