Federal Way Deputy Police Chief Andy Hwang was honored Saturday at a key ceremony at Wild Waves Theme Park. The park honored Hwang for his public service. He is pictured with CEO Jeff Stock and general manager Todd Suchan.

In other Wild Waves news, the park recently switched from King County to Federal Way police for its public safety needs. The decision was made in an effort to foster stronger ties with the Federal Way community, according to spokesman Pat Walker.
