MLK art contest in Federal Way | Enter today

The city's Diversity Commission is sponsoring an art contest in correlation with Martin Luther King Jr. Day and its celebration. The artwork must follow the theme of "I have a dream for Federal Way."
The contest is open to all students in grades K -12 and living within the Federal Way School District boundaries. Winning entries will be publicly displayed at City Hall from January through February. Two student winners will also receive cash awards. A first place award of $75 and a second place award of $25 will be given out. Unframed entries on paper no larger than 8.5 by 11 inches will be accepted. Artists must sign their work in the lower right corner. Entry forms signed by a parent or guardian must accompany the work. Entries may be mailed or delivered to: Federal Way Diversity Commission, Federal Way City Hall, 33325 8th Ave. S., Federal Way, WA 98063. Artists with work not selected for display will be contacted and the art can be picked up at City Hall after Jan. 14.
