Free SAT and education forums in Federal Way

Free SAT seminar: Sylvan Learning Center is offering an overview of the SAT and ACT exams, including common types of questions and test-taking advice. Find out what the tests cover, get information about the essay section, and learn tips and tricks on how to score your best. Everyone is welcome 7 p.m. Oct. 4, at the Federal Way Regional library, 34200 1st Way S.

Education forum: Alberto Retana, Director of Community Outreach with the U.S. Department of Education, will host a regional family and community education forum in Federal Way. Retana will lead a discussion on national education initiatives and policies from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Oct. 12 at Federal Way High School, 30611 16th Ave. S. Call (206) 607-1655.
