Red Lion Hotel opens in Federal Way

It is the third location the owner of the property has signed to the brand.

The hotel company also opened a second new franchise location in the Seattle market in recent months.

The Red Lion Inn & Suites Federal Way, located at 1688 S. 348th St., has 90 guest rooms, a conference room and laundry facilities, and offers a hot breakfast and free Wi-Fi.

It’s located near Interstate 5 at Highway 18 and is just over 15 miles from the Seattle-Tacoma International Airport and a short drive to the Federal Way National Little League Complex, the Weyerhaeuser/King County Aquatic Center, Celebration Park, Sports Complex and Wild Waves Theme Park.

The hotel is also near to the Puget Sound and Dash Point State Park with more than 3,300 feet of saltwater shoreline ideal for swimming, hiking and fishing.

“We are planning to invest $2 million in upgrades to the guest rooms and public space on this property, which will include a new indoor pool with a double water slide,” said Paul Sandhu of Northwest Hospitality LLC. “Red Lion Inn & Suites has been a great brand for our properties. We enjoy working with the team and find they offer the right support for our hotels.”

Red Lion Hotels Corporation has more than 50 hotels system wide and also owns and operates an entertainment and event ticket distribution business.
