Buffalo Wild Wings restaurants — including the Federal Way location — will team up with the community on April 22 for its 2015 Community Day, an annual celebration that raises funds for local kids as part of the Buffalo Wild Wings Team Up for Kids  mission.

Ten percent of total restaurant sales and 100 percent of guest donations on April 22 will be donated to Boys & Girls Clubs of America to support the organization’s youth programs.

Buffalo Wild Wings in Federal Way is located at 2005 S. 320th St. For more information, call 253-529-7862

“Through Community Day, we can support local clubs in hundreds of communities where we do business. Our

goal is to bring youth sports into the lives of every child who wants to play,” said Mary Twinem, executive vice president and chief financial officer at Buffalo Wild Wings. “From the many creative ways that our local restaurants celebrated Community Day last year, to the critical funds that were raised to sustain and build on our efforts to support Boys & Girls Clubs of America through our partnership, we are excited to bring our restaurants and Guests together for a renewed effort this April.”

Now in its third year, Buffalo Wild Wings’ Team Up for Kids mission and partnership with Boys & Girls Clubs of America supports youth sports through ALL STARS grants for flag or tackle football and cheer teams at Boys & Girls Clubs across the country. Buffalo Wild Wings is excited to expand this effort to include basketball teams beginning in 2015.

Together with its guests, Buffalo Wild Wings helped 28,000 kids play team sports in 2014 — doubling the number of ALL STARS grants from 2013 — and donated more than $1.8 million, through a variety of promotions including donations from the restaurant’s signature sauce and seasoning bottle sales, as well as numerous in-restaurant fundraising activities.

Buffalo Wild Wings has committed a $1 million minimum guaranteed donation to Boys & Girls Clubs of America of America each year from 2013-2017. With the success of its fundraising efforts to date, Buffalo WiId Wings will donate over $6 million by 2017.
