Free forum for small businesses hosted by Congressman Adam Smith

A free small business forum hosted by Congressman Adam Smith (D-District 9) will run 7:30 to 11:30 a.m. Thursday, June 3, at the ShoWare Center in Kent (see map below).

The forum will address the following:

• Health and Human Services (HHS): The new health reform law and what it means to small businesses.

• Internal Revenue Service (IRS): Changes to the tax law and how it impacts your business.

• Procurement Technical Assistance Center (PTAC): How to do business with the federal government.

• Small Business Administration (SBA): What SBA programs are available to help your business succeed.

• Washington Emergency Management Agency (WEMA): Prepared for Success Post Disaster: Resources available before, during and after a disaster strikes.
