Local photographer receives merit award

Colleen Pfeilschiefter, a professional photographer and owner of Colleen Photographic Productions in Federal Way, received merit awards for four of her images at the Professional Photographers of Washington State Convention March 23-26 in Bellingham.
Jasons Pride, Maternal Grace, Twilight Glow and Summer Moment were selected to be exhibited in the gallery during the convention at the Lakeway Hotel.
Winning images were selected from entries submitted by professional photographers from Washington, Oregon, and British Columbia. In recognition of the achievement, the Professional Photographers of Washington awards merit certificates, which are applied toward a degree granted by the association.
Pfeilschiefters entries will be sent to the Professional Photographers of America international competition, to be held in Atlanta, Ga. in May.
