Christy joins Countrywide

Sheila Christy has joined the Federal Way office of Countrywide Home Loans as a home loan consultant.

Christy has 23 years of experience in real estate and lending, specializing in residential purchase and refinance loans.

EDC Board adds Bell

Priscilla Bell, president of Highline Community College, has been appointed to the board of directors of the Economic Development Council of Seattle and King County.

The EDC is a coalition of business, government, education, environment, trade/industry and business social organizations.

New doctor at St. Francis clinic

Estrelino D. Velasco, Jr., MD, has started a practice at St. Francis Medical Clinic.

Velasco, who is board-certified in family practice, earned his medical degree from University of Santo Tomas in the Philippines and completed his residency at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas.

He said his medical interests include preventive medicine, hypertension, diabetes and hypercholesterolemia.

Jacobson to ST

Steve Jacobson will become Sound Transit’s project control manager April 18.

Jacobson previously was an estimating manager for Weyerhaeuser. He has also worked as a construction project manager, a cost/schedule engineer, a senior cost engineer and a senior project control engineer.
