Shred Day: Free event helps you get rid of documents

Federal Way's Woodstone Credit Union will host a Shred Day event from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the credit union, 1825 S. 316th St. The event is free and offers a way for community members to safely get rid of documents containing sensitive information, such as account numbers, birth dates, passwords, signatures, Social Security numbers, addresses, e-mails or phone numbers. Participants may bring up to one 10-ream paper box, or the equivalent, of documents. Woodstone asks that participants bring a can of non perishable food to donate to the Federal Way food bank.

For more information about the event, call (253) 925-6800.
