142-room Hampton Inn and Suites opens in downtown Federal Way

Hampton Inn and Suites officially opened for business Aug. 24 in Federal Way.

The 80,000-square-foot, five-story hotel is located at 31720 Gateway Center Blvd. S., just off Interstate 5 at the South 320th Street exit.

The new hotel features 142 guest rooms, each with a 32-inch high-definition flat screen television, refrigerator and microwave; complimentary high-speed Internet access, hot breakfast and business center; indoor swimming pool, whirlpool and fitness/weight facility; 1,600 square feet of meeting space with catering; and packages for families.

The privately built project, with Bellevue-based Royal Hospitality LLC as the developer, cost approximately $23 million. Rim Hospitality, out of Modesto, Calif., is managing the business. The hotel requires approximately 40 full-time employees.
