Federal Way police responded to a bank robbery at approximately 9:30 a.m. May 27 at Rainier Pacific bank, 35007 Pacific Highway South.

A male suspect presented a note requesting money to employees at the bank, police spokeswoman Cathy Schrock said. The man did not have a weapon, nor did he threaten employees, she said. He left the location on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash, she said.

Federal Way police canvassed the area and alerted nearby businesses to the activity, but were unable to locate the suspect, Schrock said. Nobody was injured and the investigation has been turned over to the FBI, which has jurisdiction in bank robbery cases.
